Welcome to Wild Sonics. This blog is an extension of myself. Many posts and other media found on this site are inspirations that I have cumulated throughout the years of my life along with accounts of my daily life as a student. I share this for any who can relate or find my life interesting. Whether or not you decide to read is your own choice. Enjoy.
Please spend a little more time with the story board so that you are actually planning out the words and images you want to use. This looks like it was quickly constructed and not thought out.
As far as the video goes, I'm glad that you found a portion that is dramatic and interesting. My main concern with the video here (and with many that were created) is that it is all very literal--you show exactly what is being read at almost always the same pace. How can you make this more interesting and engaging? My first suggestion would be to think of arresting images that are not part of pop culture. Do you see the reader of this piece as someone who looks like she's in an ad (as your figure does in this version)? Is it appropriate to have a picture of Clint Eastwood when you are relating a story of a mass shooting? Challenge yourself to use that amazing brain you have to be creative, to shock and delight, to give us something more than what everyone else is doing. In addition, think more about your voice too--if you are reading in a monotone and stumbling on words, your viewer will check out. This met the parameters of the assignment, but wasn't as engaging or well-thought out as much of your other work.
I look forward to seeing your video. I like how you really have thought this out so far and you can tell this has been done because you are planning small details. I like how you are trying to use humor within your video. I am excited to see how all the small details come together.
